The Red Cross WFA is good for two years. Just make sure that you get
the completion card and that it is signed and dated. Depending on how
your local ARC chapter works, either of these items could be a challenge.
The current course uses ARC materials and Mountaineering First Aid as
text. The course has been under revision for the last couple of years.
A new syllabus may come out next spring, but exactly when is anybodies
guess.
Our Atlanta courses are taught by Scouters for Scouters and older
scouts. We always have a great time in that we concentrate on as much
hands on teaching as possible.
If anybody is certified as an ARC CPR instructor, email me off list and
I'll give you the details about getting the add-on for WFA instructor.
