I have been involved with an appeal to Standards and Practices where one of the issues was whether the scout fulfilled the "active" requirement, the "scout spirit" requirement as well as other issues. The issue addressed in ours was not the limits of activity but rather when the 6 month period ran from. The scout had been minimally active beyond registration during the 6 months past Life was earned but had not remained active beyond registration during any 6 month period (or combination of months to reach the 6 months) for the next 2 years until he applied for Eagle. The committee determined that he met the requrements of active.

Don, could you post what came up on Scouts-L for those of us who no longer try to drink from that firehose?
Thanks.
