We enjoyed our week at Philmont for our first Autumn Adventure. Actually met Calvin and some of his crew and can verify they had claimed Beaubien for Texas. I must admit, as we hiked up the Beaubien meadow the Texas flag looked mighty good flying over the cabin. There was a stiff breeze blowing and the flag stood at attention as we hiked up to the cabin. You probably had to be there to understand the moment but that was a Philmont moment I'll not forget soon.
My thanks to Alan Thompson, Bill Sheehan, and Calvin Gray for their advice and encouragement.
