Actually met Calvin and some of his crew and can verify they had claimed Beaubien for Texas. I must admit, as we hiked up the Beaubien meadow the Texas flag looked mighty good flying over the cabin. There was a stiff breeze blowing and the flag stood at attention as we hiked up to the cabin.

Anything worth doing is worth doing right and Calvin simply does it wright. After all he's a wheelright, a man who makes wheels turn.
The first time I ever saw Beaubien was in the summer of 1959. At that time the Texas flag was flying over the cabin then. Seems like history has shown for many years the proper ownership of that land.
Of course it is nice that the BSA has maintained it in somewhat the same condition for many years for many generations to enjoy.
