Anthony asks:
Anyone have advice to share about how to travel from Denver to Philmont and
what to do in between? How long does it take? The flights to Albuquerque
are getting expensive and rare.

I have not done this since .... Oh ... Last week.
The Drive down was very very easy. 470 (toll road) South, 25 South, Cutover
to Cimarron (61?) then turn left to the ranch. Takes between 5-6 hours
depending on traffic.
I did not stop for anything but gas on the way back and to take a couple of
naps on the side of the road going down. But there sure looked like a lot
of cool things to do in the visit had I been taking my time.
Southwest Airlines lost 1/2 my baggage and had to fly the lost bag to
Albuquerque then drive it to me. Problem is that my boots were in the lost
bag. I would strongly suggest you wear/carry whatever you may need for the
first 24\36 hours just in case you should find yourself in this situation.
Southwest they did give me a $125 credit in addition to the cost of driving
the bag to the ranch. Not sure it was worth the stress but it seems fair.
