[Philmont] Denver to Philmont?

Anyone have advice to share about how to travel from Denver to Philmont and
what to do in between? How long does it take? The flights to Albuquerque
are getting expensive and rare.

Philmont. I think the drive was 4-5 hours more or less depending on stops.
The driver was willing to stop wherever and whenever. We chose to stop for
fast food and drive straight through to Philmont. We arrived the day before
our start and with permission checked in early.
