Registering them as ASMs will put them and you under the 50% rule of the
crew and may limit their attendance. But if they are registered as
Venturing Crew members, then that won't happen.

Assistant Scoutmaster is the only position in a troop open to young people
ages 18-20.

Registering them in a Venturing Crew is another possibility.
