[Philmont] Looking at a Philmont Trek

  What is the concensus on lead time for planning a Philmont Trek? From when an app is submitted to actual trek? My troop has never been to Philmont so how would that affect the lottery system? What could be the earliest summer we could attend (if I can convince the committee how need such a program is).
