John Notes:
So don't blame me for what Calvin done at Beaubien. If Beaubien would have taken better care of his homeworks and da flagpoles at his cabin none dis wood have happen in da fist place.

How does that explain the raising of the Texas flag at basecamp? The poor staff did not get a chance to wake up and have breakfast before the flag was posted photographed and hidden again.

Hmmmmm I gotta get them pictures off the camera and see how they turned out.

  Signed:
The guy who does not need to travel with his state flag to know where he comes from.

  ************************************************************************************************

So where do you come from? Do they have cornbread and chicken?

Well to 'splain all the above flag stuff, I'll try. Here goes:

Whereas the land at Philmont was once a part of the Republic of Texas,

and Whereas once Texas, always Texas,

and Whereas the home office of the BSA is located in the great state of Texas,

and Whereas numerous permanent staff are bred and born Texans,

and Whereas numerous spouses of permanent staff are bred and born Texans,

be it so resolved that flying the Texas flag over CHQ is herby deemed rational, natural
  and proper conduct,

however, if those showing this respect weren't such scardy cats, the Texas flag would still be flying over Philmont CHQ.

be it also resolved that we Texans don't have to look at a flag to know who we are, or where we are from, but since our ancestors fought and died for that flag many times over, we simply are proud of it and want less fortunate souls to get a glimpse or her.

and that's just the way it is.

and God bless Texas and all those who love her and all those who don't.

and God bless the other forty-nine states and the residents thereof.

  Amen
