Just back from Autumn Adventure where we learned that the Ranch is now recommending FOUR HOUR contact time with micropur tablets.
I took Jim Moss' advice and brought a Sawyer filter. A crew of twelve would probably need more than one. Using gravity, I was getting a gallon in about a half hour with no fuss. Perhaps there is a way to make it flow even faster. Jim would know. I was quite thrilled with it. I rigged mine between one gallon MSR Dromedary bags using two MSR Dromedary hydration conversion kits to provide the hose and connections between the bad water bag, the in line filter, and the good water bag. No pumping, just hang the one water bag up and let gravity do the work.
It comes with two small hose clamps in case your hoses aren't a perfect fit. Mine were.
I think you will all agree that waiting four hours for safe water can cramp your style a bit.
