[Philmont] Philmont Camps in Google Earth

on Philsearch. :-)"

As always, all contributions are welcome. Simply send the photos,
especially those on the PhilSearch's "Most Wanted" list to
photos@philsearch.org.

Please include the Photographers name, location where the photo was taken,
Troop # (including city & state), trek #, expedition number and year so I
can include proper photo credit.

I thought I'd try to look at Philmont using the Google Earth program.

 It turns out you can see a display of all the camps at Philmont and
can zoom in on any camp or terrain feature.

 Anyone planning a trip to Philmont may want to give this a try - it
will give you an overall idea of the layout of Philmont and help place
the different treks in an overall context.

 I can send anyone who wants to look at it a jpg picture of what a
view of Philmont looks like in Google Earth (taken as a screen shot of
Google Earth running on my desktop).

Information on the Google Earth program (which is free to download)
can be located by doing a Google search for "Google Earth".
