We had a crew of 12 this summer. We used 2 lightweight (10 oz) aluminum 6-qt pots with lids. The pots fit inside each other to save space. Our scouts didn't like the turkey bags, so we used ziplocs instead. You can fit 3 2-person entrees in one gallon size ziploc.
The first pot was used for boiling water, the second was used for holding up the food bags and for washing. We found that a 6 quart pot was as small as we could go for a 12 person crew. When we were pressed for time, we used both pots to boil half the water each since we had a backup stove. I was glad we took the second pot.
