Joe,

This Outside Rag Mag article predates you on the PhiList aby a few years. Read it and then decide if it which way you wanna lean.

I'll post my rebuttal that I wrote to the editor in a few minutes and you can read my opinion. I assure you it's not a sit on the fence, lean whichever way you want approach. That's not the way I choose to live, but it's a free country wnd one can choose whatever.

I had some pretty good Scout training by a competent Scoutmaster who taught me how to cook on an open fire, a skill I have never forgotten. I don't use recipes and I don't read Outside Rag Mag on how to fix trail food. I learned that in the4 BSA and at Philmont rather than reading about it in Outside Rag Mag.

By the way, this article infuriated over a thousand Philmont staff workign at the ranch that summer and rightfully so.
