[Philmont] Railroad plans

Kim I believe from what I hear it will be a multi-year project. A building (depot/station/staff cabin) needs built and the rail route needs bulldozed, bridges erected, ties and rail installed.

At one of the national meetings one of the board members approached someone from Philmont HQ about this project after hearing about it through the grapevine, here this person is some executive from a railroad company.

I want to see the plans because it sounds cool. I hope they can pull it off.

I am curious about this too, At our last council High Adventure team meeting I mentioned this new program and the display in the base camp office building. The HAT chair helps with the council executives meetings (held quarterly I think). At the last one PHilmont and other programs had displays, and nothing was said about the railroad program.
Will it be up and running for 2008????
