I am confused. If he is a crew chief and is under 18, how can he be a
scoutmaster? If a scoutmasters job is to let the boys lead. How can a boy
leading be a scoutmaster? As a lead advisor of our recent trek, I was
directly interfacing with our crew chief. In our case, he was a patrol
leader of a very good patrol. If he does all of the items listed in your
job description, I cannot imagine him being denied credit for a "position
of responsibility". Your adult leaders have the latitude to make that
determination.
