Here is something to get this going again.
Our troop was to take 3 backpacking stoves owned by our former SM. He
passed away in the spring, and must have taken the stoves with him. We can
not find them anywhere, and I helped clean out all of his scouting equipment.
In 99 we took two WhisperLites and one Peak1. Used ones can be found on
eBay, but I do not want to pay the price of a new one.
Three questions?
Would you buy a used stove from eBay?
What would you pay for a WhisperLite and a Peak1?
Do any of you have used stoves to sell?
We do have plenty of money in the budget as we just got our train tickets
for less than our budget. They are still selling Southwest Chief tickets.
When I asked, they promised a full refund if the train is discontinued. I
doubt that it will be.
