1. Trekking poles is a must. Just like my American Express card "
never leave home without them"
2. stool- I always use the three leg stool. Great for those rainy
days under the dining fly. I must admit in borrowing my son's
therma rest chair just to have a back rest. Therma rest chairs are
great for those dry days.
3. inflatable pillow- almost no weight, but really helps for a good
night sleep

What I can't believe people bring:

1.I had two crew members bring backpacking umbrellas this time.
Great gimmick, good sun shade, but no protection against the rain
2. In 2000 I had an advisor bring an battery electric razor. A clean
face, but doesn't really help when you still didn't get to take a bath
till day #9
