We did Central to North country. Baldy Camp has potable water and showers at baldy town - a short walk from camp, which is right above baldy Town.

Miranda has potable water but no showers.

Head of Dean has potable water but no showers.

Santa Claus camp has water brought in by Water Buffalo - you should purify.

  Subject: [Philmont]: Camps with water

Son leaves a week from Friday for fall trek. He has to be involved in picking out th itenerary along with another scout that has been to Philmont before.
Can you folks that made a summer trek this year send me list of camps with water, this would help plan the itenerary for them. Last day they are planning on tooth ridge into base camp with a side hike Shaefers Peak, and the Tooth. I realize tooth ridge camp is dry, but it's been 2 years since I made a summer trek, and don't want to guess or rely on memory what has water, thanks.
