No nosebleeds in our crew from almost sea level in Alexandria, Virginia. But I started losing my voice on the bus ride back to Albuquerque and it was completely gone by the time the flight attendant asked if I wanted anything to drink. Then I had a horrible cough for two weeks after Philmont, so bad my wife and daughter wanted me to go to the doctor. Yet I felt fine besides the cough, which eventually went away. I am convinced that the cough was from eating dust while staying in the rear on the trail everyday, which I did because I was one of the slowest hikers and I had the SM's desire to take care no one lagged behind. I think next time I will hike in a Jesse James bandana. Tony
