Greetings Pete (and others)

Two things I didn't see mentioned in any of the responses are Selden
Ball's Philmont Web Site http://www.lns.cornell.edu/~seb/philmont.html
that is an excellent source of information concerning the various treks
(if you haven't found it already) and a lot of other stuff besides. And
Dan Yoder's web site http://www.danyoder.com/philmont/ that has a
feature where you enter the program activities and peaks you want to
climb and in some cases vistas you want to experience (i.e. Hidden
Valley) and it lists itineraries that match those features - could save
time and give the YOUTH a number of choices that they can then rank.

Plan on having the time of your life - you will!

Happy Trails,

Roy Fisher
