As a point of information, our troop buys new tents for Philmont, and then
add them to the troop inventory. They are used exclusively for our Trek until
we return. Pays both ways. Used a PhilTent and found it to be very dry, but
very low. In and out, dressing, etc., in a prone position did not work for
this "old" man.
Untreated water at Crooked Creek staff camp for sure. They have water hauled
in for them, but can't bring enough for all. Seems like we treated at Black
Mountain also. Never stayed at French Henry.
