Cimarron weather is a good check for base camp, probably. If you have an
overnight on top of a peak somewhere remember to take into account the
altitude changes and its effect on the temperature. Also, the microclimates
in and around Philmont will guarantee precipitation differences at the very
least. Half a mile could mean the difference between a gulley washer and a
slight sprinkle. Be Prepared.
