<<What is the weather like at Philmont Training Center/Base Camp now? I leave Friday for PTC for Scoutmasters Training and curious? Thanks a million in advance! Yours in Scouting: Jerry D Bailey (I am use to LA weather @ 105 yesterday @ Woodland Hills) (if cold have to buy one time use cold weather gear) >>

It's hot, cold, wet, dry, raining like crazy with a dust storm thrown in to boot.

At Philmont, if you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes, it will be completely different.

Oh yes, don't forget the monsoons.

Acutally, in summer most all PhilRain is from monsoons.......really it is!

Be prepared for all of the above, except "cold" probably won't be down to the freezing point yet. And it might not get to 105, but again it might.
