[Philmont]: Polar Pure in California

Iodine is one of the essential chemicals needed to make methamphetamine
via the routes that are popular in California. So there are
restrictions on its sale. Polar Pure is pure iodine, so....

That said, we used PP on our trip to Yosemite and Sequoia, with the
active encouragement of the Park Rangers. So unless something new has
cropped up in the last month, I doubt if personal use quantities are a
problem. I do suggest, however, that you not be caught transporting 300
cases of Polar Pure bottles to California for "backpacking purposes". Ahem.
