We just did a camping/hiking weekend to give the tounger scouts a "taste"
of Philmont, as was described in a post yesterday.
When we left the house, my pack weighed 35 pounds, with no crew gear, no
tent and no food. I did have 8 pounds of water.
When I got home, I checked and the pack weighs 9 pounds empty, with nothing
at all in it. It's a big pack with lots of pockets and good places to stash
stuff.
Thanks,
Scott Sibley
