Hard to spread tuna when 1/2 your club crackers are shattered.......
We experimented and found a system that worked well for keeping the crackers
intact - especially the boxed varieties. We took all the packages of
crackers out of the 2-person food packs and put those cracker boxes into one
backpack. That approach took a lot of the cracker box displacement volume out of
individual packs and made packing the meals easier. The individual carrying
the crackers didn't have much weight, but he had a lot of "bulk" until those
crackers were eaten. Once the crackers were gone, that individual had a "lot"
of free space to accept other crew items. Worth a try.
