Wally,
Never thought of it that way. Have always said "wow" when I encountered a
high number trek. Never felt I was being put down. Never thought they were
better. We have NEVER done anything more than "rugged", on purpose. We are
there for program, to enjoy ourselves, and to take advantage of all Philmont has
to offer. Guess we have never thought that one thing they offer is the
opportunity to cover a large number of miles during a trek.
As has been said repeatedly on this list, to each his own.
Thanks for the other perspective.
