I only saw 2 campfires when we were there in 2003. Beaubien was ok, nothing the boys were terribly thrilled about. It was a little hokey old west humor and music and it was performed pretty well, just nothing that our guys got excited about. The other campfire we saw was at Crater Lake and everyone had a blast, the staff there was crazy and the boys all listed the campfire program there as one of the things they enjoyed the most at Philmont.

I have been to Philmont twice but have only hit one camp with a special campfire, and I missed that one because I had a scout melt down and a boy would not leave his tent. Going back next year I want to try again.
