Greetings,
I know that both Alamo Area Council in San Antonio and Capitol Area
Council in Austin have staggered start dates for their Council
contingents. Part of this is to minimize the total transportation costs
- the chartered buses for the second group of contingents pick up the
returning crews from the first group eliminating dead-heading. I'm sure
there are likely other Councils with staggered dates as well. But as
previously mentioned, it wouldn't hurt to call the ranch and get
first-hand information.
Happy Trails,
Roy Fisher
