A lot of that would depend upon how many crews are in your contingent. In St Louis, each bus has 4 crews. The bus departures are staggered throughout the summer, one group arriving in the morning, and the departing crews using the same bus for the return trip leaving that evening. Thus we send 5 contingent groups of 4 crews each, a total of 20 crews arriving between mid-June and early August.
! would suggest you contact Philmont directly. Obviously, they are used to dealing with this.

Subject: [Philmont] Different Start Dates for Council Contingents?
Does anyone know if it's possible to have different start dates for
different crews all coming from the same council? The Council
Contingent Reservation Request form doesn't appear to allow that.
I'd like to have a couple of different start dates for our
contingents, in order to let the kids and parents decide how to deal
with summer. With at least four different public school districts
and dozens of private schools, a one size fits all policy really
doesn't work for us. I'd like to offer a July contingent, and an
August one.
Thanks!
Lou
