We also did our own travel.

We do two days ahead for a bit of acclimatization (we're at 660 ft
here).

Sunday

Arrived ABQ (2 crews - 22 total), rented 4 minivans. Drove to University
of New Mexico dorms ($16.50 per night per person), checked in.
Dinner at Golden Corral (where else do you take Scouts - always enough
to eat there..).
Sandia Peak tram (closed due to high winds).

Monday

Breakfast to UNM (buffet again - hungry Scouts)
Petroglyphs National Monument - a bit of hills and hiking
Old Town ABQ - run around and lunch on your own
Indian Pueblo Cultural Center - interesting place
Sandia Peak Tram - open this time
REI - need I say more?
Dinner at Golden Corral - yeah, again - plentiful, good food and cheap
Drivers return minivans, taxi to UNM

Tuesday

Up early, check out of UNM dorms.
Hererra Coach (early and ready, always good service)
Stop at IHOP near REI.
Arrive at CHQ 11:00 AM

No real blood pressure-raising experiences, Scouts mostly had fun, old
farts still alive.

627-E1 Trek 29
627-E2 Trek 24 <- great trek...

IWTGBTP 08 I hope

Advisor 627-E2 and a bunch of other stuff...
