Amtrak's "Santa Fe stop" is really Lamy, N. M. There is a shuttle to
Santa Fe.
Amtrak has fares that allow you to travel within certain "regions" of
the country. You can do multple "regions" as well. Our agent found
that this price was better than the regular tickets with discounts.
The "regions" have varied over the years. When you cross the boundry,
you add another "region" and the price goes up.
We had over two hours for each connection. Sometimes 4 to 6 hours.
They missed them all. I will be glad to give you the gory detail
offline if you wish.
