I bought the Osprey Atmos 50 pack in June for my August Trek.
the Atmos is a FastPacker style ultralight pack. I love it! It is
extremely comfortable and very light. The thing that sold me is the mesh
back which keeps my back cooler than a traditional padded back. It was
fine space wise and even on the first day when we had 5 days of food to
carry I was able to get everything into the pack. The down side is that
the pack is suited to loads of less than 40lbs and the first day it was
45lbs. The Aether has better support then the Atmos and is slightly
larger. It should have no problem with the load

John, you should be fine with the Aether 70. Two of our scouts carried
them and thought they were great packs. They were completely full on
food pick-up days but otherwise plenty of volume for gear, so long as
you don't pack like Jim "the pack mule" Moss.

Thanks, The Aether 70 is what I now have. I bought it to save 3
pounds from my crescent 110. I was leaning toward the 90, but the
salesman convinced me the 70 would work. Which it does for normal week
long loads.
Best hip belts on the market. When I switched from external to
internal a few years ago, I tried on every major brand on the market and
Osprey was the best hands down for my body.
