[philmont] The finer things in life

Well, I finally finished workign the 12 hour nights 7 days a week at 5AM this morning.

To top it off when I got home the electricity was on and the house nice and cool AND dry. Of course it's the coolest dau so far this fall and outside it's 66 deg.

I shut down the generator and plugged the freezers and refrigerators into the grid via the wall plugs.

I can't tell you how nice it is to have electricity when you haven't for 84 hours. It was touch and go for a while there with the freezers. Sure glad I did not loose them because I would have had to stay and clean out that mess instead of going to AA. And that would be bad.

But here's what I wanted to tell you. Usually I come home after workign nights and go right to bed. But today it is so nice to be back in our house, I mean our home that I mixed up a batch of waffles and am sitting here enjoying one of the finer things in life, breakfast in one's own home.

I missed that for the last coupla days.

So, have a nice Sunday, I know I am.
