Let's not start a lawsuit over an ad.

It's an auto generated ad, inserted on an algo based
word match program. In this instance, most assuredly
out of context to the article, but if one reads the
ad, one is unlikely to be confused about what's a
click away. Thus a click is a voluntary seeking out
of the information at the destination, whether by
interest or from curiosity. That's hardly actionable.
It is though a right fair example of why youth
oriented sites, from units to councils and beyond,
ought not to rely on random generated ads to defray
hosting or to provide an income stream over and above
hosting expenses.
A brief note to the site owner alerting to the issue
might prompt a better set of filters in the ad
campaign the site is running through that particular
ad/income service. Conversely, if the number of
visitors is high and the level of complaints low, it
might also be seen as not a major issue and no action
gets taken at all.
As for myself, I'm just about ad blind these days.
When I see an ad block, such as the right column of
the referenced page, my eyes go into skim mode until
the brain registers an end of ad block msg.
Everything on that page in right column is ad related,
none of them targeted very well actually. One tip of
the hat to the site owner, at least from me. The ads
are not blended into the text, where the ads could, at
least potentially, be confused with content and seen
as the ads they are.
