[philmont] Deadly Crocs

Subject: [philmont] Deadly Crocs

I knew it was going to happen and I tried my best as in "do your best" to
warn you Pholks about wearing Crocs at Philmont.
 
I wanna tell you now that you are just really lucky that none of you got
them hung up in the elevators there or was it escalators, anyway it's them
moving thingys.
 
But this morning on the TV, they said to always be ready to hollar to
somebody at the end of the thing to hit the button and stop the action
before the Crocs eat your toes off.
 
I know you feel much better knowing that safety is just a shout away.

Well I am looking, I am searching, but I haven't found near the ground or
anywhere else an elevator or escalator at Philmont. I've seen the shaft
where they started building an elevator on Baldy (I guess that's what it was
for) but that's about it. Going up, I was also pretty sure that I was on an
escalator heading the other way - every step I took just didn't seem to get
me any closer to the top. I guess someone heard my shouts and they finally
turned the thing off, cause I did make it.
