[philmont] Bear bite

This showed up in this evening's local newspaper. I'm also posting to Scouts-L
as this incident did not take place at Philmont and can happen
anywhere where there is a bear population looking for their next meal.

The version of the story in our local newspaper (assuming it's the same story)
indicated that the bear was after both candy and breakfast cereal
stored in the tent.

The story notes that the boy who was bitten is 12 years old. This
could have contributed to the incident if the 12 year old was
inexperienced and unaware that even a well wrapped candy bar and/or
cereal can be smelled by a bear if kept in a tent..

All smellables need to be well away from tents and up in a bear bag.
